Mrs Christy Badu is the Deputy Registrar in charge of the Alumni Relations Office. Mrs. Badu had her secondary education at the Achimota School and holds a BA degree in Social Sciences from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She also holds an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management from the Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Mrs Badu joined the University of Ghana in August, 2000 and has served the University in several capacities: as the first Assistant Registrar in the newly created International Programmes Office from 2000 to 2005, then as Senior Assistant Registrar (Admissions Officer) in charge of Admissions in the Academic Affairs Directorate, from February, 2005 to August, 2010. In September 2010 she was transferred to the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) where she was the Administrative Secretary, until January 2014 when she was appointed as the Foundation College Secretary to help establish the newly created College of Education. Before assuming the position of Alumni Relations Officer, Mrs. Christy Badu was part of the University of Ghana Carnegie Project Team and was the Coordinator for the Carnegie sponsored Accelerated PhD Training through University of Ghana-Diasporan Linkages Project (APT-Ghana Project), responsible for administering the implementation of the various components of the Project. Mrs Christy Badu is currently also the Warden of Volta Hall, having been sworn in as the 16th Warden (Administrative Head) in May, 2016.
