Mrs. Christy Badu is the Deputy Registrar in charge of the Alumni Relations Office. Mrs. Badu had her secondary education at the Achimota School and holds a BA degree in Social Sciences from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She also holds an M.Sc. in Human Resource Management from the Sheffield Business School, Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
Mrs. Badu joined the University of Ghana in August, 2000 and has since served the University in several capacities uncluding: as the first Assistant Registrar in the then newly created International Programmes Office from 2000 to 2005, as Senior Assistant Registrar (Admissions Officer), in charge of Admissions in the Academic Affairs Directorate, from February 2005 to August 2010. In September 2010 she was transferred to the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) where she was the Administrative Secretary, until January 2014 when she was appointed as the Foundation College Secretary, to assist with the establishment of the newly approved College of Education.
Before assuming the position of Deputy Registrar, Alumni Relations Office, Mrs. Christy Badu was part of the University of Ghana Carnegie Project Team and was the Coordinator for the Carnegie sponsored Accelerated PhD Training through University of Ghana-Diasporan Linkages Project (APT-Ghana Project), responsible for administering the implementation of the various components of the Project.
Mrs. Christy Badu has since August 2018, been given additional responsibility in the University to act as Director for the Academic Affairs Directorate. She is also the immediate past Warden of Volta Hall, having served as the 16th Warden (Administrative Head) of the Hall from May, 2016 to October, 2018.
