The Rotary Club of the Accra Legon, East redeemed their commitment to refurbish the Children's Ward of the University Hospital.

The Rotary Club of the Accra Legon, East redeemed their commitment to refurbish the Children's Ward of the University Hospital. Working through the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA),  the refurbishment and upgrading of the Paediatric Unit of the University of Ghana Hospital was confirmed through a brief handing over ceremony at the project site. 
Rotary International is the world’s first service club and most territorial organization with more than 1.2 million members across the globe who volunteer their time and talents to further the Rotary motto, Service Above Self, to carry out humanitarian services. The Rotary Club of Accra Legon East, one of over 36,000 clubs of Rotary International worldwide.
The donation is geared towards the rehabilitation and complete construction of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) was held on the 27th January, 2021 at the Comfort Dzokoto Children’s Ward, University of Ghana Hospital.
The delegation was received by Professor Robert Ebo Hinson, Ag. Director, Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA), who represented the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ebenezer Oduro Owusu. He emphasised how noble the cause was and reassured the rotary club delegation of how committed the University’s management is with regards to the project.
