University Of Ghana Basic School Pupil Wins Essay Contest

A  Junior High School (JHS) 1 pupil of the University of Ghana Basic School, Miss Charity Gavor emerged first runner-up in the 2018 Mondelez International Cocoa Life Ghana Essay Contest.

The contest was part of programmes lined up for the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Mondelez International Cocoa Life (MICL), a social intervention programme aimed at creating awareness of the impact of cocoa production as well as challenging the youth in cocoa growing communities to take interest in cocoa farming.

Out of 200 pupils who participated in the contest, 20 emerged winners. The topic for the JHS category was “What Do You Know About Cocoa?”

Miss Charity Gavor walked home with a cash prize, a plaque, HP laptop, certificate of participation and Stationery.
